The G130 Series / Gas Reduction / 10 GPM / Open-Air System

Does your water appear "gassy" or "cloudy" or even "spit out" as if you have air in the plumbing lines? You may have Methane in your well water supply. Methane in ground water is a colorless, odorless but flammable gas. Sources of methane from an individual well could be from part of a natural gas deposit or, more commonly, dead vegative matter in the well. You may notice as you pass by a landfill the constant flame of a Gas-off as this matter decomposes.

Soft Water City is one of the only dealerships in Northern Il. that leases, leases to own and sells a solution for this issue. In fact; there are only a few manufacturers in the USA that design a solution to the growing problem. We stock parts to service what we carry and that sets us apart from all other dealerships. We are an exclusive dealer and provider of the G130 Open Air system from Better Water Industries. (A family owned and operated company like ourselves.)

Testing for Methane is very easy with a free visit and evaluation. The G130 system will harmlessly vent the concentrated Methane outside much like a Radon remediation unit. Simultaneously, the system will chlorine using Calcium Hypochlorite tablets. The only legal and "approved" Chlorine product to use for potable water by the EPA.  Please note that household bleach or pool shock is NOT approved for potable water use.

the g130 open-air system

The Sentry I Open-Air System combines aeration with chlorination to provide superior water quality. The Sentry I Open-Air System adds air to the water with an adjustable venturi as it enters the tank through a solenoid valve that is controlled with an electronic float inside the tank. This air starts the oxidation process and dilutes any gasses in the water such as Methane. While the unit fills, the chlorinator dispenses the exact amount of chlorine desired. The chlorine sanitizes the water and finishes the oxidation process getting rid of odors and killing bacteria. The water first flows into the bottom of the first chamber and then flows over into the second chamber where the submersible pump pressurizes the water to the home. This system has three floats, one mechanical safety overflow, one electrical low-level shutdown, and one electrical water level maintaining float. The system is complete with the chlorinator, by-pass, bladder tank, pump, and is pre-wired for an easy install. This system is often described as a personal municipality for the home providing 24-7 protection.

“We Take Pride in Protecting Your Water”

Fantastic service! The entire team was very responsive, did a very thorough virtual appointment when we had an emergency. Solved the problem over the phone and sent a tech as a follow-up to ensure it was resolved fully at no extra cost to us. Installed our new systems within a week and we saw immediate changes the same day! Excellent service and great price.
